Standard rules and risk assessments for waste operations

We’re proposing an update to our charges for some permits and licences.

Find details of the proposed charges on our consultation hub on the Citizen Space website, where you also have the opportunity to respond.

The consultation will close on 7 January 2023, after which responses will be considered. We aim to implement any resulting changes in April 2023, subject to ministerial approval.

Before you apply for a standard rules waste permit make sure that:

  • you understand the standard rules set
  • the rule describes exactly what you want to do
  • you will be able to meet the requirements of the rules

You can't vary standard rules and you can't appeal against them.
